Dear TY Parents / Students,
I am delighted to confirm that our school has been successful in the lottery for RCSI MyHealth Transition Year Programme 2018 which will run from Monday 26th February - Friday 2nd March 2018 at RCSI (Royal College of Surgeons Ireland)
Successful schools are offered
1 place on the programme.
I now invite expressions of interest from among our TYs. The successful student should have an interest in a medical career, realistic potential to achieve the necessary academic level and ability to work cooperatively in a team under supervision.
Further, the successful student must be available for the full programme and who will best represent our school at all times in all his/her interactions with RCSI.
All interested students should email a 200 word summary to Mr.Duffy before Tuesday 10 October, outlining why you think you should be selected to attend at the programme. Random selection may occur.
Other details to consider from the RCSI ...
In order for the successful student to confirm their place they must complete the online registration.
Registration must be completed by Tuesday, 31st October 2017
Please note there is a small charge of €50 per student for the programme to cover costs. This is payable only by credit card through the online registration system.
Please note that once registration is completed, the student will receive an automated response from the system.
RCSI will then send the student an email which will include a consent form which must be completed and returned by Friday 17th November 2017
Once the student has registered, RCSI will use their contact email to liaise with them about the programme and to confirm details closer to the date.
Please ensure that the correct email has been provided and that the student checks this regularly.
Kind Regards,
Mr. Duffy
