Green Schools

The Green Schools Committee were delighted to learn that the school was to receive its 4th Green Flag for Green Travel. It meant a lot to know that all their hard work and commitment in promoting Green Travel in the school had paid off.

Calasanctius is one of the handful of secondary schools in Galway to receive this flag so well done to all involved!

Four committee members: Niamh Feeney, Paulina Hochorowska and Adwale Adedeji and Ms. Kenny attended the awards ceremony in Athlone on the 24th May.

To mark the occasion we had a fun cycle to Renville Woods with two members from An Taisce.

Biodiversity Project

Transition year students presented the Older Adults in Living Scenes with nesting boxes for bees. The boxes were made by them in Woodwork class with Mr Stack. This is part of a number of ongo-ing activities aimed at protect-ing our Natural Heritage.
