Community beach clean-up

This Sunday 22nd September 2019, 2pm at Rinville Beach, Oranmore Arts Festival invite the local community to join them in a Big Beach Clean as part of the Clean Coasts initiative. Following on from the success of the Flotsam project as part of Galway 2020 Small Towns, Big Ideas, a partnership of Oranmore Arts Festival, Oranmore Tidy Towns and local schools mobilised local young people and the wider community to participate in beach clean ups, which was followed by a series of educational and creative workshops that involved creating sculptures using the plastic waste collected. The Oranmore Arts Festival is committed to raising environmental awareness and will continue to organise regular beach clean ups throughout the year.
