NUI Galway/BSTAI Junior Cert Business Studies Awards 2019

60 Students from 29 individual schools across Connacht who received a Distinction grade in Junior Cycle Business Studies 2019 were presented with Certificates of Achievement in NUI Galway on November 20th 2019. The presentations were made by Professor John McHale, Dean of the College of Business, Public Policy and Law, NUI Galway and Margaret McDonnell, President of the BSTAI (Business Studies Teachers Association of Ireland). This year 2 students were from Calasanctius College, Oranmore Co Galway.

A Distinction is obtained by achieving between 90%-100% in a Business Studies exam that has no choice of questions on the exampaper, all the questions are compulsory.

This was an excellent achievement by these Calasanctius College students. Their Business Studies results are the top 2.1% in our school (compared to the national average of 1.8% in the country). Well done to the students and their teachers.
