A very busy time ahead for our TY students.
TY Update!

Dear TY Parents & Students,

A busy week last week! I am very proud of the ongoing tremendous contribution made by all our TY students in the various activities which take place - to the students who attended at Ms. Saigon & at the Christmas Shoe box depot at Ballybrit, the four students who represented our school at Áras an Uachtaráin and the four students who participated in TY Academy at NUIG - Well Done!

Thank you for your cooperation in getting the second deposit for the Krakow trip paid on time. The final deposit of Euro 200.00 is due by 4pm on Monday 11 December. Payment by Cheque / Postal order / Bank Draft only and made payable to N S T please. The Information Evening on the Krakow trip will take place in February.

The overall price includes the return bus journey to Shannon airport and towel hire at Park Wodny.

TY Engineering Taster Day is taking place on Monday 27 November at NUIG. Nine students have agreed to attend. More details available from Ms. Denny.

Ms. Le Breton will accompany all TY French students to Rouge restaurant, Dominick St., Galway on Tuesday evening 28 November.

Tracing your Family Tree has commenced for TY1 and will continue for TY 2 after Christmas. The cost is Euro 10.00 per student. Money should only be given to Mr. Duffy and a receipt will be issued.

TY Friday Maths Programme will take place on Friday 01 December at NUIG. Further details available from the TY maths teachers.

Drive for Life will take place on Monday 04 December for both TY1 & TY 2 in the Library.

Mr. McGauley is facilitating Whizzkids for both TY 1 & TY 2 . The cost per student is Euro 10.00 payable to Mr. McGauley.

Portfolio assessment will take place as part of Christmas assessment.

Talk by Dr. Colman Noctor on Tuesday the 12th of November @ 7 in The Clayton Hotel, Galway
Calasanctius College Swimmers bring back to Oranmore the school’s largest haul of swim medals to date at the recent Connacht Secondary schools swim finals held in Longford on Sunday 27th October.
On 12th November most of our first year students will take part in Gaeilge 24 at Calasanctius. This involves participants speaking Irish for 24 hours. A team of fifth year students will plan and organise a variety of fun activities for first years
