We understand and appreciate that this can be a very confusing and anxious time for young people as they prepare to make the leap from primary school to 'big' school. We know you probably have lots of questions and even some concerns about being part of Calasanctius College, but we will do everything we can to help you navigate the journey as smoothly as possible, step by step.
Once you accept your place with us, one of the first steps on this journey is deciding what subjects you might like to study when you join us in 1st Yr. You may visit us on Open Evening and speak to us then or listen to what we have to say. We might meet you on Taster Day and when you sample some of these subject firsthand. But still, you might not be sure what to choose? Have a look through the videos and links below to see if they can help you make up your mind when the time comes.
Junior Cycle Curriculum
Students in Calasanctius College take nine subjects for state certification at Junior Cycle. In addition, as part of the broad and holistic educational experience we provide students will also engage in a number of other subjects.
