Green-school.png Environmental Awareness

We have a very active Green School Committee in Calasanctius College, which we would encourage all new students to get involved in. In the school year just past, all their hard work has culminated in the successful renewal of the school Green Flag and our school was also chosen as Regional winner for the Global Citizenship Awards on the theme of Energy. We place a strong focus on and strive to increase each student's environmental awareness in our school, at home and in the community. We are aiming to create a litter-free school. To help reduce litter at Calasanctius College, students are requested to invest in a reusable water bottles and lunch boxes and bring their litter home. Chewing gum is strictly prohibited.

Calasanctius Clothes Bank is located in the ALDI car park in Oranmore. Proceeds from the bank go towards fundraising for our Green School Committee. Please deposit all your unwanted new/old clothing, shoes, bags, belts, sheets, blankets, curtains, towels etc into the bank. NO PILLOWS OR DUVETS accepted. All households are encouraged to support.
