Parents' Association

In Calasanctius College, we believe that parents are the primary educators and that it is in partnership that we will best educate and support our students. We believe the main role of the Parents' Association is to work with the principal, staff and Board of Management to build effective co-operation and partnership between home and school. We greatly value the contribution and voice of our parents. We encourage all parents/guardians to consider getting involved in this committee. The first meeting of the new school year usually takes place early in the first term; keep an eye out for details nearer the date.

Here are some of the activities that present/past associations have played an active role in:

  • arranging talks on topics of interest for the parent body
  • second hand books & uniforms initiative
  • policy review and feedback to school principal/board of management
  • providing support/organisational input for major school events, e.g. school musical, careers fair
  • helping to organise and supervise extra curricular trips and activities
  • planning/organisation of school fundraising events/activities

Wildlands Trip 2024

The current Parents' Association have just completed the year by organising and overseeing the annual 2nd Yr end of year trip. This is a much anticipated event in the school calendar for many students and we would like to acknowledge the tireless efforts of our Parents' Association to make this a reality for our students. Many thanks to the parents and staff members who travelled with our 2nd Yr group to Wildlands Activity Centre. A great day was had by all.
