Today, our school community came together to celebrate Presentation Day in honour and loving memory of our foundress, Most Venerable Nano Nagle. Mass was celebrated by Fr. Diarmuid in Oranmore Church, marking one of the most significant days in our school calendar. This annual celebration offers us a precious opportunity to pause, reflect, and reconnect with Nano Nagle’s mission, and to consider how her vision continues to inspire and guide our work in today’s world.
We were delighted to welcome back retired members of our teaching staff, along with guests of honour from the Presentation Order, who joined us in this special celebration. Their presence was a meaningful reminder of the legacy, dedication, and service that have shaped our school community over many decades.
Following mass, we made the short journey to the nuns’ graveyard on our school grounds, where wreaths were laid in commemoration of the Presentation Sisters who have gone before us. Their courage, commitment, and compassion laid the foundations of the vibrant school community we are proud to be part of today. Their contribution to the community of Oranmore will never be forgotten.
Many thanks to all who participated so reverently in the celebration. A special word of thanks to Ms Campbell for her hard work, dedication, and thoughtful organisation of this year’s Presentation Day celebration, in collaboration with the RE team. Her efforts ensured that the event was both meaningful and memorable for all involved.
May the light of Nano Nagle continue to guide our path and inspire all that we do.
