Calasanctius College had an outstanding Connacht Cross Country Final. More athletes from our school qualified for the Connacht Final than any other school. It was a very challenging course with a very high standard in all races. David Frazer had the outstanding run of the day, winning gold in the Minor Boys' Race. Two of our teams came second: Senior Girls (Anna McKernan, Sophie McIlrath, Holly O'Boyle, Clodagh Mahon and Katie Hoare) and Senior Boys (Mathys Bocquet, Kieran Watterson, Rian Dunne Leavy, Robert Donnelly, Shane Furey and Eoin Whelan). Our other individual qualifiers were Sean Cleare, Stephen Ruane and Stephen Joyce. We will have a very strong showing at the All-Ireland final in Tallaght on March 9th.
