Students are encouraged to develop a sense of responsibility and to care for each other. This is facilitated by the presence of a Senior Cycle Prefect system. Prefects are a group of student leaders within the school. Prefects represent the school on important occasions and are excellent role models. Our team of school prefects are led by our Head Boy and Head Girl.
School Prefects
Prefects are expected to uphold the school’s code of behaviour, demonstrate responsibility and reliability, actively support and promote our school's mission statement, be a good ambassador for the school, be willing to take on extra responsibility, show initiative and to volunteer in key situations, act as a role model for all our students and liaise and collaborate with each other, as a team, to ensure efficiency and smooth running of the school.
The role also has a social dimension to it. It involves organising activities for students, meeting visitors, helping out on social occasions and acting as ambassadors for and representing the school when required.
We congratulate our Prefect team and wish them well in their role for the coming year.
