One of our greatest successes and achievements in recent years has been the rebirth of musical theatre in our school. Many of you will be familiar with our recent productions of Dancing Queen! & Sister Act! to name but a few. However, this year we feel we are taking on our greatest challenge yet! Calasanctius College is proud and excited to announce our school musical for the coming year....the ultimate high school musical that is Grease!
This show is hydromatic, this show is systematic! For nearly 50 years, West End audiences and Grease have gone together like "rama lama lama..." and now its coming to Calasanctius College! This October, the stage of the Nano Nagle Hall will be transformed to represent a different school setting; that of Rydell High.
The Grease musical follows a high school romance between Danny Zuko and Sandy Dumbrowski. One summer, Danny and Sandy fall in love, but have to say their goodbyes as they didn't live near each other. Later that summer, Sandy moves to a new area, and enrolls at Rydell High for her senior year. Little does she know that Danny Zuko also attends that high school! When the pair realise they're walking down the same school corridors, can Danny and Sandy make their true love last a lifetime?
