Huge congratulations to our Junk Kouture participants whose creation "Feathered Lego Dreams", designed by Kate Barry and Jenny Brady and modeled by Jenny, managed to secure a place in the National Final in May. They presented their design; an innovative creation featuring over 600 pieces of discarded Lego to the judges in the Regional Final held in the Helix, Dublin on Thursday night last and earned a coveted spot in the upcoming final. Junk Kouture 2025 saw immense participation, with over 2,500 students from 32 counties submitting more than 1,200 designs. Only two regional finals were held, and Jenny and Kate’s design ranked among the top six from the West of Ireland at the Dublin final. Now, "Feathered Lego Dreams" is one of the final 60 designs competing for the national title. If they achieve this, they will keep the hope alive for a chance to represent Ireland at the Junk Kouture World Final in Paris next year. Congratulations to the girls and Ms Treacy - its great to see their commitment and dedication to the project rewarded and acknowledged.
